The year is 1957 and Ghana is now the first sub-Saharan African country to acquire independence from a colonial power. Kwame Nkrumah, leader of the pro-independence Convention People’s Party has the privilege of serving as Ghana's first independent prime minister. The cabinet has been assembled, and now must complete the task of transitioning from a colony to a independent state. Delegates will serve as cabinet members of Prime Minister Kwame Nkrumah’s Cabinet handling diplomatic affairs, management of the ambitious Akosombo Dam Project, and building a state apparatus for Ghana to exist as an independent sovereign state.
