MSUMUN is proud to offer a wide array of Specialized Committees this year for delegates to explore! For those interested in Michigan’s geographical politics, delegates in the Great Lakes Compacts will explore the United States growing need for fresh water and the role of the Great Lakes in that. Every wanted to climb mount Everest? Well so have 10s of thousands of other people, so much so that Nepal is facing a tourism crisis. In the Nepal committee you will have the opportunity represent various leaders within Nepal to find sustainable solutions. Remember your history classes in schools? If so, you might recognize the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire disaster; As a member of the committee you will explore the aftermath of this tragedy and the legislation that followed. Finally, delegates who are a bit more in tune with pop culture will get the opportunity to explore the bad blood between Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun's Ithaca Holdings. We’re excited to see what delegates will do in this committee!
