Dear Prospective Sponsors and Donors,

Thank you for showing your interest in Michigan State University Model United Nations (MSUMUN). MSUMUN is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and enhancement of global awareness. Delegates will have the opportunity to work with our volunteer staff to expand their knowledge of certain global policy concepts through differing, committee-specific issues that will arise during their time at the conference. In response to these obstacles, delegates will navigate solutions to affairs in both fast and slow-paced settings, strengthen their communication and collaboration skills through vocal and written responses to their peers and staff, as well as learn committee-specific information in subjects they may be passionate about. Though the name may imply affairs between countries, committees are not limited to this subject and instead use a “Model United Nations” structure during the duration of the conference. Whether delegates are interested in the military affairs of foreign powers, the restoration of conflict-struck areas, large business and finance practices, or environmental issues, our conferences carry a large array of committees that are sure to appeal uniquely to every individual’s eye.

As a body, we host two Model United Nations conferences annually for students in grades 6-12. Red Cedar Model United Nations (RCMUN) is a conference that we dedicate solely to approximately 300 local middle school students in a more introductory setup. This allows us to set great foundation skills in our MUN delegates as well as ensure all delegates are on a similar page and feel strong personal growth in their skills. MSUMUN is our foremost, three-day long conference held for several hundred high school students from all around Michigan and its surrounding states. With varying difficulty levels and subjects in order to further appeal to returning delegates as well as introduce the new, our conference is an educational opportunity for all that guarantees both its challenges and rewards. This year, we are preparing to expand our conference and brand with the help of local businesses in the East Lansing community.

During a long weekend of research and debate our students are gaining skills imperative to preparing them for their future. Not only is it a chance to learn and grow, MSUMUN is also an opportunity for students to experience and explore Michigan State University and the greater Lansing area. Partnering with MSUMUN gains any business access and exposure to over 1,500 students, staff members, chaperones, and high school advisers. Working with MSUMUN not only gives your business an affordable advertising opportunity but it also establishes your place in our community through supporting a respected and driven 501(c)3 non-profit while joining us on our educational mission.

Any sponsor or donor that we are able to work with this year will understand the true difference they are making in the lives of our students from all over the Midwest. Your support of our organization will shape a student’s experience and future in more ways than imaginable. We appreciate your time and interest in what everyone at MSUMUN does with great passion. If you have any questions or are interested in further supporting our organization, please reach out and stay in touch using the email or phone number below. We appreciate you!

Yours,
